Horn & Oak began as a small operation, founded on strong values and a commitment to quality. What started as a small family operation supplying local shops and roadside stalls around Citrusdal quickly grew into something far greater.

In the early days, the business operated under a different name, focused on crafting traditional biltong with care, integrity, and uncompromising standards. In 2023, a new shareholder joined, and Horn & Oak was officially established. This marked the beginning of a new chapter, bringing fresh vision, strategic direction, and the momentum to expand across the Western Cape.

In 2024, another shareholder came on board, strengthening the team with additional expertise and shared ambition. With increased capacity, Horn & Oak entered its next phase of growth, enhancing production, distribution, and brand presence throughout the region.

By 2025, the company had significantly expanded its workforce and packaging capabilities, enabling it to meet growing demand while maintaining the highest quality standards. Today, Horn & Oak continues to scale responsibly, investing in people, processes, and innovation while staying true to the authenticity that defines its products.
